Symbol
DraftA pointer circles four symbols, one of which hums. Four stages, each asking for one of three coloured buttons depending on the symbol.
First appears in level 8
How to recognise it
A rotating pointer in the middle, four symbols arranged around it, and a short row of coloured buttons below (three buttons drawn from red, yellow, green and blue; the exact count is not confirmed). Exactly one of the four symbols makes a sound while the pointer rests on it. The module has four stages and has to be solved four times in a row.
Procedure
Turn the pointer slowly, one symbol at a time, and listen. When a symbol hums, stop and say "this one", so the deaf player can read the shape and the mute player can look it up. Wait for the colour, press the matching button and say which colour you pressed. If nobody confirms that the stage moved on, say so and start the stage again instead of guessing.
Common mistakes
Describing all four symbols before anyone knows which one hums. Only the humming one matters.
Reusing the colour from the previous stage. Every stage is a fresh lookup, even if the same symbol hums again.
Confusing similar shapes (circle in a square vs. square in a circle, rounded vs. sharp hourglass). Name the outer shape first.
Carrying on after a wrong press. One guide reports a reset to stage one, so re-read stage, symbol and colour before the next press.
